As long as there are prisons, Christians should minister to prisoners. Ministry is first and foremost preaching and teaching the Word of God; converting the lost and encouraging the saved. It is a noble work, because jail and prison ministry is carrying out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20); taking the Gospel to all. It also entails restoring the erring (James 5:19,20). |
