Internet Consulting

I've been known to work as a Internet consultant, specializing in Unix and networking.

I've been on the Internet for over 10 years and have worked with Unix and networking most of this time. I worked for many years at the Computer Science and Engineering department at the University of Florida as a system administrator. I saw the network grow from 10 to 400+ machines. I was responsible for their WWW site, one of the first at UF, and was an early proponent of networking and WWW technologies on campus.

I was one of the principal technical implementors of the Alachua Freenet. I originated the use of the WWW at AFN, including its integration into the "menu system," wrote the online registration system and provided various remote access services such as FTP and POP/IMAP. I also pioneered SLIP/PPP access for the Freenet.
