i won't be told that it's wrong to love the one who hates you and see the life destroyed within me and around me i won't be told that i'm safe and everything's all right and i'm not accountable for another person's life we fail to love, have failed to see, we are the same, the enemy of life is the submission to greed
amongst other humans we must conceal our pain lest we be cast aside as intrusive or just insane so many roles to play so many ways we are so different prosperity and purpose are products of the superficial disjunctive in our own eyes as humans in our worth by the wealth of the social class we're made part of at birth this illusory distinction separates us from each other greed and fear replace the sharing in the lives of one another
feel the cold of the shadow that is cast upon your heart as you follow your demands from day to day and hour to hour (one hate, one wrong) its shape is the same as the force we fail to see but causes families black and white to live in the fucking streets they suffer not because of poverty but hopelessness from the crowds that pass them by in the grip of indifference (as one, stand strong) though a world: cold, uncaring, may steal our strength of will we must struggle against the powers of hate that seek to drive us all to nil
