a jaded youth a jaded time, tired of hearing what went wrong nothing ever changes the endless struggle still goes on and i'm tired of getting older and i'm tired of getting left behind and i'm tired of seeing how the money in the pocket of a three-piece suit is the only measure of a man that's life, nothing more than life. that's life, you can't deny it's nothing more than life. we fight because the world's not right, there's no doubt about it guess we'll learn to live without it
we hear them say "it's time to sit and watch your dreams die one by one." we don't even bother to raise our eyes to see who holds the gun our hearts turned stone, our bodies clay, our spirits lost somewhere along the way all to make us willing pawns in the destruction of the world we once called home. and so we just do what we're told, a waste of time to think about it cause life just won't go on without it
