Who We Are

Animal Rescue of North Florida started up on March 25, 1997.

The principal we have dedicated ourselves to, is to try and better the lives of the animals in North Florida by offering people an alternative when they have to give up their pets.  This alternative would enable the present pet owners to meet the prospective new pet owner.  This way the old owner knows where their pet is going and is satisfied with the fact that they have helped place their animal in good hands.  The new owner can find out habits of the pet by asking what they like to eat, where they sleep, are they like children?  What is the medical history of the pet?

We realize this is not always possible as in the case of a found animal, or an owner who has passed away.  In that case the animal is placed in an Animal Rescue of North Florida's foster home where these types of behavior can be observed.  After a period of time the animal would be placed for adoption.

We are a non-euthanizing organization so the animals stay in our foster homes until they are adopted.
