Free web pages, free e-mail services, free guestbooks, free page counters/trackers and, free or near-free ISPs (Freenets) make the Internet fun to use. Check out the web sites below.         Los Angeles Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access in metropolitan Los Angeles for only $40/year (PPP) or $20/year (shell). An e-mail service and address are included in the fee. Enroll by mail.

        Freeppp.Com
        An ISP providing free dial-in access in the greater Yonkers/Poughkeepsie, NY region and Beaumont/Galveston, TX region for only the cost of the call. A free e-mail account is provided in conjunction with Slip.Net. Enroll on the WWW.

        Michiana Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access in metropolitan South Bend, Indiana for only $15/quarter (PPP or shell). An e-mail service and address are included in the fee. Enroll by mail.

        Tallahassee Freenet
        A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in the Tallahassee tri-state area (Florida, Georgia, Alabama). An e-mail service and address are included. Enroll by a combination of online and mail. Out-of-area registration is accepted via mail for $25/year.

        Buffalo Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in the eight county area of western New York. An e-mail service and address are included. Enroll by a combination of online and mail. Out-of-area New York State residents registration is permitted.

        Twin Cities Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in metropolitan Minneapolis/St. Paul. An e-mail service, address and web page (200 Kb limit) are included. Suggested registration contribution: $40, $20 for seniors and students. Enroll by a combination of online and mail-in confirmation.

        Rio Grande Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP providing free dial-in access in metropolitan El Paso. An e-mail service, address and web page are included. Enroll by mail.

        Alachua Freenet
        A non-profit ISP in Gainesville, Florida providing dial-in access to anyone from anywhere. You pay the toll charges if any. Free web pages and an e-mail service and address are included. No charge to Florida residents, $20/year fee to out-of-state users. Enroll on the WWW.

        Three Rivers Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania providing free dial-in access (Lynx text browser) to anyone from anywhere. You pay the toll charges if any. Enrollment is not required.

        Sunflower Community Network
        A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access in metropolitan Kansas City, MO for only $42.56/year and provides free web pages (2 Mb limit). Enrollment is via mail and out-of-state membership is accepted.

        Omaha Free-Net
        A non-profit ISP providing dial-in access to anyone from anywhere. You pay the toll charges if any; session connect time is 30 minutes and redialling is allowed. No registration is necessary.
