Name the world's forgotten boy in the pic above and we'll send you a free demo tape!
Who's the person from the New York Times that keeps visiting?

Hello! We are the goddamned Claude Pepper Blues Explosion! We are this area's only 60's punk garage band and after about a year, we're happy to say that things are going well. We played our first club date ever June 19 at the so-called Lyric Cafe, now the Hardback again, to about 60 people and got a very enthusiastic response (Even from people we don't know!). We don't know why, but someone even painted the band's picture on a 4'x 6' canvas as we played and gave it to Megan after the show. Thanks, buddy! Since then, we've played Full Circle, the Covered Dish and Munnegin's Irish Pub (a biker / drunk redneck bar!).

Official intelligence sources in the field in Germany tell us that we were featured in the latest Crypt-O-Rama 'zine out of Greece. Jump to a previous online issue on the link below!

We got fan mail from and an invitation to play in Tasmania, way down under! The guy owns a bar and used to live with Rob Younger of the fabulous Radio Birdbrains way back when in Sydney, Australia! He also met our hero Roky Erickson in 1981.

Show dates will be posted as soon as we know 'em; come back and take a look from time to time so you can come and have a drink and enjoy our lo-fi madness. We love to do spirited covers of obscure garage ditties as well as high-flyin' original tunes. Our singer, Tom recently got back from his trip to New York City, just missed Blondie and the Dictators, saw Nashville P*ssy, the Swingin' Neckbreakers, met some cool people at the Motor City bar (Marky Ramone's hang) and returned with another armful o' records and an empty wallet!

Who is Claude Pepper?

Come out and witness the dapper savagery of The C.P.B.E.!!

The Hon. Thomas D. Walls - Shaking and Shouting
Mr. Greg Smith - Guitars and Bars
Miss Megan O. - Power, Volume and Drums
Jeffery Glamorous - Bass and Taste

After 4 months of dedicated service, Ted S. O'Hara left the band to pursue his career as a fashion model. Rusty temporarily filled in, and played out with us at the Dish. Although he's been an incredible asset to the band, family obligations as well as playin' with the Crippled Dicks and Allstar 69 place an inestimable time constraint on him, and we are currently playing with Jeff Yeatter, formerly of Fat Vacuum and Strictly Glamorous.

Some of the songs? Well, you know, that '60s / '70s punk continuum - stuff like Slow Death, Search and Destroy, Career of Evil, Sick Of You, Little Black Egg, Born to Lose, Dirty Robber, What a Way to Die, You're Gonna Miss Me, Two Headed Dawg, Steppin' Stone, Double Shot of My Baby's Love, Nervous Breakdown, Gloria, Louie Louie and many more you never thought possible to screw up...
