I went upstairs tonight to watch "The Little Mermaid" with the girls upstairs. After I came back downstairs, I chatted with Allyson for a while on AOL IM. She's a really special girl. Everyday she finds new ways to convince me that I'm lucky to know her and I'm even luckier to call her my friend.
At about five o'clock this morning, Jen called me and needed me. Chris broke up with her last night. I spent the next three or so hours doing my best to help her through all the pain and tears. I'm not sure how well I did. At one point, it got so bad that all I could do was just hold her in my arms, cry with her, and pray for her. When I got in, I wanted to e-mail Allyson about everything and so I did. That brings me to right now, writing an update for the update page that can in no way sum up my night. I'm very tired right now. I'm going to sleep for a little while before I have to go to work.
Tonight, Allyson and I watched "Interview with the Vampire" and ordered a pizza. After the movie, we sat around watching TV and talking about stuff for quite a while. I feel so great being able to tell Allyson about the stuff that's in my head.
My car died today. I had gone to Jasper for the Easter weekend. About the time my sister and I got to Gainesville, the car lights started to dim. We turned around and headed back toward campus. I got so scared that I just started praying. The car made it several blocks before it died right in front of a gas station there on University Avenue. I called my parents and told them about it and became a total emotional wreck. My Daddy came to fix my car. He jumped it off and managed to get it parked in a legal parking space. He took the battery home with him to have it checked out. He doesn't think that it's the alternator (Of course, I don't really know. I know nothing about cars.) On the upside though, my dad did manage to fix the car door. It opens now. I had a lot of fun at home. It was nice to talk to my mom about all the heavy stuff going down with my life, but at the same time, I missed being able to talking to the folks here in Gainesville. A lot.
