I added this page to my site to provide people with a convenient way to keep up with what's going on in my life. Oh, yeah...it will also keep you notified about any changes made to the website.

Another Friday night has come. Of course, I'm just sitting here doing nothing. There's not even anyone on ICQ for me to talk to. For reasons that I can't even justify to myself I stayed up until around 9:00 this morning. Ostensibly, I was working on my computer assignment for my "Computers and Modern Society" class; but things really got out of hand when I started adding JavaScript to an assignment that was trying to teach me about search engines and newsgroups. I also went to the mall today to look at the kittens in the pet store window. As I was leaving, I began to ponder the young women of Gainesville. I wonder how many girls really know how beautiful they are. Not many I would suppose.

In case you haven't realized, I added a new poem to the Poetry Corner a few days ago.

Many of you know about my obsession with the pickles Denny's puts on their hamburgers. Well, I found pickles that taste like those. The last time I went to Publix, I stopped in the refrigerated foods section and bought kosher dill pickles. It turns out that Denny's pickles are nothing more than the pickles that are refrigerated before you buy them. I guess I owe a special debt of gratitude to Jason Consolo, who told me one day when I was raving about Denny's pickles, "They're just the white pickles that you buy from the cold foods part of the grocery store." May God bless you, man. I am in your debt.

I did something rather impulsive today. I am now the proud owner of a Diamond Monster 3DII video card with 12MB of RAM. I have been playing GLQuake and Quake 2, and all I can say is "Wow!" I can play GLQuake at a sustained frame rate of 57 frames per second without regard for resolution. I also downloaded the Final Fantasy 7 demo today. (That's part of what motivated me to buy the card in the first place.) I must have that game the day it comes out.
