Gay Rights Organizations:
Citizens Against Homophobia: "Citizens Against Homophobia is a group that uses mass media campaigns to reduce homophobia." These include print ads and radio commercials.
Employment Non-Discrimination Act: "The legislation explicitly prohibits job discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation." Site includes name and e-mail addresses of ENDA's co-sponsors in Congress.
Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation: (GLAAD) "Your online resource for promoting fair, accurate and inclusive representation as a means of challenging discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity."
Human Rights Campaign: "The Human Rights Campaign envisions an America where lesbian and gay people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work, and in the community." This is the primary political action committee lobbying in support of gay rights.
National Lesbian Political Action Committee: "The National Lesbian Political Action Committee is a non-partisan, non-connected, political action committee. We will give money to candidates, male or female, Democratic, Independent, or Republican, who meet our critieria and have earned our contributions by actively supporting Lesbian issues."
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force: "In all its efforts, NGLTF helps to strengthen the gay and lesbian movement at the state and local level while connecting those activities to a national vision of change." Perhaps the premiere grassroots gay rights organization.
And Justice For All: "And Justice For All was founded in mid-1995 to fight for equality for everyone without regard to sexual orientation. AJA seeks to achieve this goal by increasing the visibility and participation of heterosexuals in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights movement."
PFLAG: "Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian and bisexual persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights."

Freedom to Marry Coalition: "A nationwide coalition committed to winning and keeping the freedom to marry for same-gender couples." The full text of Judge Kevin Chang's historic ruling. Info on same-sex marriage by state.
Forum on the Right to Marriage: "FORM is a national grassroots organization primarily engaged in education and outreach concerning the issue of same-sex marriage."

Equal Marriage Rights Home Page: A wealth of information on the fight for marriage rights- sections include Lambda's Marriage Resolution, news and legislative status organized by state, articles, Web links and off-line contacts for marriage rights groups.
Lesbian Mothers Support Society: "Lesbian Mothers Support Society is a Canadian, non-profit group which strives to provide peer support for lesbian parents and their children, as well as those lesbians considering parenthood."

QueerAmerica: "The National Database of Lesbigay Resources" Truly, this is an awesome Web tool. Allows one to generate a customized referral list for any area of the United States.
Queer Resources Directory: "The Queer Resources Directory contains 18250 files about everything queer." Subject headings include (among many) Queers and Religion, Queer Health, Queer Media, Business, Legal, and Workplace Issues.
LesBiGay Directory: Directory sections include News, Events, Feedback, and Resources.
Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Catholic Handbook: A resource for LBG Catholics. Ten chapter headings include lesbian and gay marriage, Catholic theology, discussion of the Bible.
Interweave: Interweave is an affiliate organization of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Its mission is to foster the "spiritual, political, and social well-being of UU's who are confronting oppression as lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender persons, and their heterosexual allies."
Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches: "Metropolitan Community Churches were created in 1968 as a way of providing an environment where homosexual Christians could freely worship God and grow in their spiritual journeys."
World Congress of Gay and Lesbian Jewish Organizations: The World Congress is committed to the interests and representation of gay and lesbian Jews throughout the world. This site is in its early stages of construction, but would seem to hold great promise.
Gay and Lesbian Atheists and Humanists: "Gay and Lesbian Atheists and Humanists is an organization with four main goals: Support equal rights for lesbians, gays, and bisexuals; educate people about atheism and humanism; support separation of church and state; provide freethinkers with opportunities to get to know each other."
P.E.R.S.O.N. Project: Public Education Regarding Sexual Orientation Nationally- The Project is dedicated to the inclusion of accurate information about the nature and diversity of sexual orientation in public school curricula.
Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network: "The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network is the largest national organization that brings together teachers, parents, students, and concerned citizens to work together to end homophobia in our schools. Over a third of GLSEN members are non-gay, and an equal number work outside of schools."
The Advocate: This is the Web site of the popular newspaper. News is updated every weekday. Also, table of contents for the print version, history of the gay and lesbian movement, access to a newsgroup and a chat room, more.
Gip Plaster's GayScribe: The site's primary feature is the Ultimate Listing of Gay and Lesbian Publications, with contact information for publications all over the United States and across the world. Other sections include Links, and the Reading Room and Archive, with stories and articles by the site's author originally published in gay and lesbian newspapers.
