All goals are listed on their GOALS SET/GOALS MET sheet. Each student has the same goals the first term since I do not know the students well enough yet. They are to complete the writing process, maintain their writing folders, learn workshop procedures, and write an expository piece. In the other three terms students give suggestions for ways they think they can improve and these are signed by the parent indicating approval. In addition to these individual goals, each term the students will be required to complete a specific type of writing as one of their pieces.
All goals must be completed by the date indicated on the Keeping Track of Grades Sheet. Each student, with parent and teacher input, will set individual goals during his/her goal conference for the next term.
