Mom and Uncle Bill.
Mom and Uncle Bill Jones enjoy the backyard patio at Aunt Lee's home.
Mom, Lisa, and Uncle Bill.
Lisa listens from the patio doorway, while Mom and Uncle Bill talk.
Our back yard...and Mom, Lisa, and Uncle Bill.
Lisa talks on the phone; Mom and Uncle Bill on the backyard patio.
Having a discussion.
Whilst Great-Grandma Muriel and Uncle Todd observe, Nicky & Katie
Sherman, and next-door neighbor/friend Ben discuss important issues
regarding how to make the world a better place to live...or, well...at
least in the back yard, anyway:
"No Nicky; see...FIVE candy cane trees and SIX gumball bushes planted right about over THERE would make the back yard look MUCH better."
"Yah!"
"And then over THERE, on the other side, can go the Hershey's Kisses garden - with a Nestle's Crunch Bar Vine growing up out the back of it on the vine trainer."
"YAH!"
"And then we'll water everything with the water coming from the grape-flavored Kool Aide pond (with a waterfall and red licorice lilly pads in it, and Gummy-Frogs) that we'll set between them both....Okay?"
"Oh-KAY!"
"Now let's all go get busy..."
All this land is Hers!
The Right Honorable KhittyPuss `Raisen' pauses for a second and contemplates
her situation in the middle of the back yard:
"Ahh! All the World's a...Back Yard! Being on a tether line isn't so bad when you've got the whole back yard to yourself! I can run in it! I can jump in it! I can still climb trees in it (well, sort of)! I can still protect it from other khitty-puss invaders! I can hunt all the bugs I want! I can play in it! and I can...I can...I can set and rest in it....WHENEVER I want to!"
Later that day, she encounted a rather strange inscription to one side of a particular tree near the back fence:
`All these bugs are yours, except on this tree. Attempt no landings here.'
The House The Joneses Built
Taken January 8, 1997 right around sunset at 5:55pm. Cirrus clouds above
and behind the house were an unusual shade of pink which, kinda matched the
house. Taken not really that long after the house was completed and Bill
and Jane moved in. Camera used: Mamiya MSX-1000 35mm SLR camera with 55mm
lens, f/2, 1/250-second exposure. Fuji Super G 800 color print film.
Color scan done for me by Steve King, KC6WCH, to whom I'm grateful.
