Western Band's Informance
The Western High School band is under the direction of Mr. John K.
Southall and Mr. Brett
Dawson. The following ensembles are available for performance:

- 84 Member Symphonic Band
- 74 Member Concert Band
- 40 Member Pep Band
- Two-22 Member Jazz Bands
- 22 Member Drill Team

Many of the Western High band Students participate in the Florida
Bandmasters Solo and
Ensemble Festival. This past February, students earned 192 superior
medals and 16 excellent
medals at the district level. 27 Soloists, 9 ensembles, and 1 woodwind
choir qualified to
participate in state solo & ensemble festival. The band uniform colors
are gold, black, and white
with gold plumes for marching.
