Look at picture of our planet from space. Find about where you are. How much difference is there between your region and another? Is it a line on a map that really seperates the US from Mexico? We may differentiate the countries generally from the coastlines or other features. Without the lines on the map we may see that where the border may be may have similar environmental features, share the same coastlines, deserts or mountains.

We can see our Americas, distinct from Europe, Asia and Africa even though those places flavor our lives, loves and longings in the Americas in many diverse ways.
