The Market Street Pub

The Market Street Pub is an English-style brewpub in downtown Gainesville. MSP offers a large selection of imports on tap plus three or four homebrews. Despite the authentic English decor (my Irish friend says it's not dirty enough for an English Pub) it's a nice place with real people coming in to do real afternoon drinking. I.E. its not a good place to get picked up, music doesn't come on until 9 p.m., when everyone has talked themselves out, and about half the clientele are pissed off at something about the place all of the time. We do special things there too. Sol once bet all comers that he could eat fifty pickled eggs at one sitting (yeah, the red ones). He didn't make it. We also rolled out Screaming Viking Mead at the Market Street Pub.
(That's me at the door, and the blue and green heap in the foreground is my 1970 beetle--one of the last surving autosticks on the planet)
