Here's
Queenstown and Milford Sound.

A view of mountains around Queenstown. It's about to snow and the lake is angry. Lovely day though.

The next morning from top of mountain. It's clear and the air is crisp. That's Queenstown down below. The lake is gorgeous from above.

A view of the remarkables from mountain top. Simply beautiful.
Milford Sound on a sunny day! Getting a day like this in winter is fairly rare. I got lucky.
Heading back from the open sea. The cruise here takes you out to the sea and back. A nice trip.
Milford Sound on a stormy day! My second trip there 3 years later. It was cold and nasty. The Sound looks completely different with the wind up and blowing. It snowed later that day.
As you can see a rough ride in bad weather. The plus side to bad weather is the number of waterfalls. On a day like this there are hundreds of them, just a few on a clear day. So it's great either way - I think. Unless you're prone to sea sickness.
Again, Milford on a gorgeous day. Snow on the peaks around sound. The Homer tunnel goes through the Mtns.
Lake Te Anau. Looking back north towards Mount Cook, I think. It might be looking back towards Milford etc. I forget. Either way there's no where on earth more stunning then New Zealand.
A great wandering Albatross! This is a chick, believe it or not. It's like 3 feet tall and still cannot fly. It's testing its wings out, whilst waiting for mom to bring back dinner. She flew in a minute later and feed 'em all. What a treat to see! These guys stay out at sea their entire lives, except to raise their young. Click on link for more info
