"Good, then let's go," said the Doctor, and led them into the
next room, which was Gone and the Toymakers' command center. It was a
vast place, full of flickering computers. The Toymaker and Gone were
just arriving on a sort of levitating platform.
"It's been too long, Doctor," said the Toymaker.
"Not long enough," the Doctor replied, his distaste clear. "I
had thought that if you were going to seek revenge, you would've done it
before now."
"Do you have any idea how long it took to escape my destroyed
world?" the Toymaker hissed. "While you lived your various lives, I was
trapped! I've had many years to plot my revenge, Doctor!!"
The Doctor waved a hand airily. "Yes yes yes, blah blah blah,
I've heard it all beforrrre.," he trilled.
"You two are worse than the Maxx when he starts one of his
heroic rants," said Gone. Ace shivered at the sight of his disembodied
head.
"This is all just another bad movie cliche," Joel countered,
"You included."
Gone ignored him. "The time has come for all of you to die."
