Date: Oct. 4, 1983 Venue: Dortmund Note: The last two songs are from a totally different, much better but still not fantastic, source. This version of Across the River would have been transcendant if it was recorded better, IMHO. Also Hackett is not actually on this record. Tracks: 1. Across the River 2. Du Bist Nicht Vie Wir 3. Schock Dem Affen 4. Games Without Fronteirs 5. Lay Your Hands On Me 6. Solsbury Hill 7. Wallflower 8. Angel Gabriel (w/Bush and Hackett) 9. So or older: Curtains (COOL!! I just happen to think this one is killer, PG produced it by himself too) Across the River My Secret Place (w/Joni, I have a video for this too) Big Time (extended and 7") Mercy Street (live from POV; absolutley KILLLLLLER you will fall down with shiverry things eating your guts if you don't check there's no monsters in your closet before you listen to this after dark) Both of the Deutche Albums (melt and security) From tape: Sledgehammer (extended Dance mix) Don't Break This Rhythm I Have the Touch ('85 mix) From lp: Walk Through the Fire Ga-ga (instrumental to I Go Swimming) From cd-rom: Taste of Lime (from X-plora) Genesis: The Lamb Lives (2nd gen) Format: tape from CD Date: early 1975 (no exact date given) Sound: soundboard, stereo, some occasional fade outs, but nothing critical Contains the complete Lamb along with Gabriel's narration. Tape 1: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway [7:03] Fly On A Windshield [2:11] Broadway Melody Of 1974 [3:47] Cuckoo Cocoon [2:18] In The Cage [8:32] The Grand Parade Of Lifeless Packaging [3:12] Back In NYC [7:32] Hairless Heart [2:35] Counting Out Time [3:56] Carpet Crawlers [5:46] The Chamber Of 32 Doors [5:57] ------ Total Time Tape 1 [50:29] Tape 2: Lilywhite Lilith [3:07] The Waiting Room [5:53] Anyway [3:31] Here Comes The Supernatural Anaesthetist [3:41] The Lamia [7:21] Silent Sorrow In Empty Boats [3:22] The Colony Of Slippermen [8:45] Ravine [1:54] The Light Dies Down On Broadway [3:39] Riding The Scree [4:36] In The Rapids [2:26] It [4:54] The Musical Box [10:42] ------ Total Time Tape 2 [70:04] All the Genesis & Peter albums including FGTR with the 1st 4 singles (silly!) Various stuff, all at least 3rd gen: some studio quality live(?) stuff: Looking for Someone The Musical Box Stagnation Get 'Em Out By Friday some really old (demo?) singles: The Sheperd Pacidy Let Us Now Make Love (boy this one sounds silly, lots of Tony Banks's 'gay choirboy' vocals) Happy the Man ('72... I like this one much though sound isn't too hot, coolest Phil&Pete playing off each other..) Going Out to Get You (live SMALL venue, really bad quality) Various live stuff dubbed from video 'haps I mean naive where I say silly.. oh well :::::Video::::: (and of course I can dub just audio off of any of these) Peter Gabriel: Shaking the Tree (w/Youssou) My Secret Place (w/Joni) This is the Picture (w/Laurie) Bits of the Woodstock show of In Your Eyes and Biko(? can't recall just now) Various interview bits from 80s or so, on to present (incl RWRW) Genesis: (Pete's Genesis never recorded any promo videos so these are all live) The Belgian TV thingy from '72, pete w/o makeup but with some really cute sideburns Some thing from some TV show somewhere.. Has peter performing in the archetypal red dress and fox mask (he sings the Musical Box in them for some reason and he's painted silver..) The entire famous Oxford Show from the Selling England tour; has all of Supper's Ready in and cool stories most of the Selling England show in Montreal.. medium quality, cleverly mixed by someone with a shortage of actual footage. (This show has only bits of stories, in French, from Gabriel.. One of them is from The Cinema Show, for which I've never heard Peter's story but Phil's story was always really gross, and it cuts in on Peter going, with this sort of silly french accent, 'sexual exitacion........enorme,' where on the audience falls over laughing. College crowds. Go fig.) various other concertty bits various interviews, including the ooooold Italian one with the odd hair and the listening-to-shoes thing, from '71 to present (there's a cool one where '92-pete starts talking about this groovy drum he used to have) misc: PG interview cd, released 1992, recorded 1980, really uncool guy conducting on teeny recorder Phil performing Peter's Genesis songs (odd.. he tends to go all goofy on them)
