The Lower MillOne of the few places I stayed at while in England. Originally, this house , as the name implies, was a mill where grains were stored and ground, taking power from the mill-stream running through the lower level of the building. You can hear the water rushing through the sluice just about anywhere in the place--a very relaxing sound. The only flaw with the building was the low ceilings-- the support beams were just about 1/2" too low in the kitchen. |
