Excavation of a Roman Villa
This site was located near one of the homes I stayed in. To get to it, one had to walk from the road down a dirt drive through someone's farm.
The remains are mostly of the foundation and parts of the walls of the villa, which was the dwelling of a wealthy roman. The photo was taken near the location of a bath, which was still partially intact, along with a beautiful mosaic, located on the far side of the remains, which was restored under a shed. Unfortunately, the shed with the mosaic was closed at the time I visited, but what I could see throught the window was very impressive.
