NEWS GOLDEN LIGHTS RESTAURANT IS BACK! Binh gave me a call, 10/12/09 to let me know... Golden Lights Restaurant is back - under a new name! It's now called the SILVER DRAGON RESTAURANT, located in Magnolia Parke (4780 NW 39th Ave, Ste 1, in the building that used to belong to Moraghot Thai Restaurant). They're right next door to TAN*USA and Starbuck's Coffee. For those unfamiliar, other business in Magnolia Parke include Schlotzsky's Deli, Kazbor's, A Taste Of Saigon, Little Ceasar's Pizza, SunState Federal Credit Union, and Blockbuster Video. ...And across the street is David's BBQ, Joe's Place, and the Northwest Grille. These are the same people who ran the Asian/American cuisine restaurant on NW 16th Blvd in the Thornebrook Plaza (which has now become The Flying Biscuit organic restaurant). The menu has numerous new additions to it, but still contains the familiar items from the old menu. I'm told that they are applying for a beer & wine license but they won't be selling mixed drinks. *** THEY'RE NOW DOING FREE DELIVERY, TOO!!! (Min. $15 order.) *** All major credit cards accepted. This family always took such great care and pride in their cooking. Everything is always piping hot. The food is always GOOD, served in very decent portions for the money, they're very AFFORDABLE, and their staff is always very open and friendly.
