Here my grandfather vaguely refers to a volume called FAR THUNDER, which is supposed to detail his travels and exploits during the First World War as a machine gunnist (for lack of the proper title immediately). In a few of his various written volumes, he makes quick, vague reference to it. We have yet to locate this apparently `missing' volume. In the past, I did see, somewhere, a small black folder with what looks like a few notes for that book. But they were incomplete, leaving one to speculate as to whether or not he actually did get around to even creating that one. Or, perhaps it does exist and it was passed on down to another line of the family and this line does not know about it. Meanwhile, we'll never know the full details of what happened to my grandfather during the war. -Todd
