Maisto makes some nice castings in 1:64 size, and in the 1:40 scale too. You can get these Pull Back Racers for around $2 that are excellent. Unfortunately the Maisto web site doesn't have much on it. so here are some pictures of my Maisto's.

These first few cars are 1:43 scale "pull back" motorized castings, all with doors that open. They are about 4.5" long, nice paint jobs, well detailed. The best part is they only cost $2 at most stores! Click on the image to get a large side and top view of some of these under-rated beauties.

The next section is for 1:18 scale Maisto's. I must say, they look pretty good on the outside for what you pay for them. I have two purchased at SAM's for $10, and one at TRU for $15. They seem to show the reason for their low price under closer inspection.
