Chapter 1016
Patricia Stewart

Since Congress is only a couple of months away, we have decided to have a speaker from the National Association of Parlimentians speak to us about Parliamentary Procedure. Not only will this be beneficial to the delegates and alternates attending Congress but also to the membership, since we conduct our meetings according to parliamentary procedure. Our chapter delegates to Congress are Tom Macheski, Stephanie Reitman-Swiss, Linda Pittman, Nan Hamley-Hanauer, and Patricia Stewart. The congress alternates are Eunice Hoffman, Wes Williams, Linda Sigsby, Emma Young, and Camille Bergstraesser. Please contact your delegates and alternates if you have any issues or questions for the candidates. Let your delegates know how you would like them to represent you in their voting. Your delegates are also interested in knowing if there is an educational session that you would like them to attend and report back on, to the chapter.

In honor of AORN’s 50th anniversary, AORN and Habitant for Humanity are teaming up to build a house in conjunction with Congress in New Orleans. We are undertaking a five-day "blitz build" and will turn over the keys to the family on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2000. Several of our chapter delegates will be helping with the building of the AORN house. We will also be collecting money, at the meetings, to send to New Orleans Habitant for Humanity for the AORN Habitant for Humanity House.
