Minutes of the November 16, 2006 Meeting
The meeting and
program were held at
Business Meeting: Meeting was called to order at 1905 by
President Justine Busch. The president thanked Stryker and MRMC for hosting the
meeting.
Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes:
Minutes from the prior meeting were approved.
Treasurers’ Report:
$4832.94 with deposits in October of $250
Committee Reports:
Golf Outing: Kathy to
check with Libby regarding status of where the outing will be held but the
Country Club of
FCORN will be hosting
the fall meeting in 2007 as a cruise to the
AORN: Delegates are needed.
Kathy Brown, Jim Shelley, Sally Moore. Linda Sigsby
and Sarah Logue were discussed as delegates. To be a delegate you must be a
current member. Four alternate delegates are needed. In addition, other
Old business: Perioperative Nurses Week – the
VA identified different perioperative nursing staff
within the hospital, and then highlighted what role each played.
T-Shirts: The decision was made to proceed with the screening of 450
t-shirts. Justine will distribute shirts to members at Ocala Hospitals. Also, an email announcement is to be sent to each facility about the
sale of the shirts. In addition, shirts will be taken to the Congress to be
sold.
Board of Directors: no report
The next meeting will be at Shands in
