Minutes of the Sept. 15, 2005 Meeting

 

Program:  The program presented was from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department on Domestic Violence.

 

Business Meeting:  Meeting was called to order at 2000. Thank you to the Surgery Center for hosting the meeting.

Approval of Prior Meeting Minutes:  Minutes could not be approved as they have not been posted on the website. The minutes will be approved at the October, 2005 meeting.

 

New Attendees:  Anne Mullis

 

Treasurers’ Report: The Chapter has a ledger balance of $5463.68. The treasurer’s report was filed.

 

Old Business: The calendar of meetings for the remainder of the Chapter year was finalized. The meeting dates will be posted on the website.

 

New Business: A quorum was present. There was a discussion on what different hospitals were doing for National Perioperative Nurses Week. Suggestions included holding an open house and inviting the public; giving away t-shirts and gift certificates (movie passes); and, setting up information booths at the Paddock Park Mall.

 

Doris H. from Ocala Regional Medical Center informed those present that ORMC/WMCH will be selling cookbooks again this year. It is the same volume as last year and the book was a great seller, raising much needed funds for the Women’s’ Shelter. Anyone interested in buying a cookbook, contact Doris at ORMC.

The next meeting will be held at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala.
