BOARD MEETING

Pat Stewart gave the treasurers report.

Financial update: the books will be balanced with the next bank statement. All returned checks were verified.  A new bank book will be started with the January 2005 statement. The board approved all plans.

Still missing checks #515,545,546.  There is no record of these checks as having been written.

A credit union will be checked about opening an account for the chapter.  Decision to transfer the account will be made at the next board meeting.

Both the savings and checking accounts will be combined to save on fees.

National continues to send monthly checks, direct deposit, for memberships ($15).

Pat Stewart suggested that the chapter set a goal of community service.

 

BY-LAW CHANGE

 

It has been suggested that the chapter make a change in the by-law concerning the quorum.  At present the quorum is set at 10%.  This number is too high and there have been meetings in which business could not be completed because of the lack of a quorum.

This change must be made by the members at a chapter meeting with at least 2 officers and 4 members present.  The change then will be sent to national.

 

The president-elect Justine Busch has resigned this position due to illness.  This position is now vacant and a new candidate will be sought.

 

CONGRESS

 

Projected expenses for Congress: 

            Sending the president: $1900

            Sending 5 delegates     $1605

            June dinner                   $100

            Ballots                          $150

 

The golf tournament is still set for May 14.  Sally Moore and Jim Shelley will head-up the committee.  A meeting will take place Feb. 17 before the chapter meeting.
