The meeting was held at Shands/UF in Gainsville

 

CTO: 7:02 pm

 

SPEAKER:

            Tom Macheski presented: “Uncorking the Delay Bottleneck” or Managing Time in the OR.  The process includes a definition of delay, measuring the delay impact and identifying the areas of concern.

 

BUSINESS MEETING:

 

Present: Kathy Brown-President, Justine Busch-President elect, Marianne Lonergan-Secretary.

 

The golf tournament originally scheduled for November has been postponed till next spring.

Pat Stewart has accepted the office of Treasurer for the chapter with approval by the board of directors.

 

There will be 4 delegates and 4 alternates for AORN Congress next April.

 

A reminder that November 14-20 is Perioperative Nurses Week.

 

November meeting will be on the 18^th at Ocala Regional Medical Center in the Blitzer building across from ER entrance.  Dr. Jawad will speak on Bariatric Surgery.
