CHAPTER 1016 BOARD MEETING

SEPTEMBER , 2004

PRESENT: KATHY BROWN, JIM SHELLEY, JUSTINE BUSCH, TOM MACHEWSKI

 

Justine has agreed to do a calendar for AORN meetings and sent it to the OR managers in the chapter.

 

Golf tournament will be Nov. 6^th  at Summer Glen in Ocala.

 

Pat Stewart will assume the duties as treasurer.  An audit will be done.

PROGRAM:

            Topic was “Todays Challenges” or “What Keeps Me Up At Night”.  Presented by Michael

            Brunger RN, CNOR,  VP of Operations for MRMC.

 

BUSINESS MEETING:

 

            Present: Kathy Brown, Justine Busch, Eunice Hoffman,Wes Williams, Jim Shelley, Marianne

            Lonergan.

 

            Response by new graduate nurses is very poor for AORN membership.  Cost being the main

            Reason.  AORN is aware of this problem.  Chapter solution: a note with the meeting time and

            Place sent to each hospital monthly.

 

            October meeting will be at Shands/UF College of Nursing in Gainsville.

 

            Golf tounament will be Nov. 6^th at Summer Glen in Ocala.  This is a tentative date.

 

            Diane Goldman has resigned as treasurer.  Pat Stewart has agreed to act as new treasurer.  An audit will be done.
