APRIL MINUTES

April 15,2004

CTO: 7:15 PM

PROGRAM: Post congress session. Presentations by Jim Shelley, Tom Machewski, Wes Williams, Justing Busch. Tom was elected to the National Nominating Committee and FCORN nominating committee. Wes reported on disaster impact on the largest hospital in NYC on 9/11/01. Justine reported on drug use/care in the OR.

BUSINESS MEETING :

OLD BUSINESS:

Treasurers report: Balance as of 3/31/04 in checking=$2597.15,

BOD meeting will be Sat. May 15 before the golf tournament. Jim will address the FCORN approach to the state legislature for assurance of the RN as circulator in the OR.

Golf tournament will be May 15, 2004. We have some confirmed sponsors and some prizes but more are needed. Donations for gift baskets are needed. Bring to your local hospital and Justine will pick them up. (352-291-1442).

NEW BUSINESS:

National will now allow a chapter to seat alternate delegates from other chapter at Congress if the chapters’ bylaws allow this to occur.

Nominations for the next chapter election will be announced at the May meeting. They will be President Elect, Treasurer, and 2 seats for Nominating Committee.

The May meeting will be at Ayers Surgery Center in Gainsville.
