NOVEMBER MINUTES

November 20, 2003

Meeting was called to order at 7 pm by Jim Shelley, President.

Quorum present.

Present: Jim Shelley, Kathy Brown, Marianne Lonergan, Justine Busch, Linda Sigsby,

Tom Macheski.

Treasurers report given by Jim Shelley. We have $3213.13 in checking & $2631.72 in savings.

Speaker for the meeting was Travis Eckert from Valley Lab who did a presentation on "Prevention & Safety During Surgical Procedures". The topic covered ignition sources fuel sources, oxidizing sources, prevention and action plans. For those who have questions about electrosurgical use may call 1-800-255-8522.

Business meeting:

We are encouraged to bring to the attention of the OR nurses any student interested in perioperative nursing.

Reminder that the golf outing will be in February. A December meeting will take place Dec. 7^th in Gainsville to implement those plans. It will be at the Texas Roadhouse on Archer & W 34^th St. at 2pm.

A big thank you to all those who contributed their time and talents for the FCORN meeting.
