1) Motion was made, second and carried to have ballots from last election destroyed

2) Motion was made, second and carried for mins from May meeting be approved.

3) Treasurer report- E.Young : as of Oct 28: Checking $5363.36; Savings $2616.68.

4) Membership Chair/T.Macheski - 123 members; Feb meeting will have someone speak on Parliamentary procedure; Renewal form for educational provider number have been submitted to state.

5) Legislative/S.Reitman-Swiss - Nothing to report

6)Research

7) Nominating/S.Reitman-Swiss - Nothing to report. Made request for names of people on the committee and for membership to submit names for offices

8) Newsletter/N.Hanauer - Complications made Oct newsletter late getting out; Submit articles early.

9)Web page/T.Glover - Check for info from chapter; Also has list of officer e-mail

10) Historian/C.Bergstraesser - not present

OLD BUSINESS

1) T-shirts Have sold over $1000.00 worth. S.Reitman-Swiss will handle sales and ads in G'ville VA, P.Stewart in Ocala, W.Williams at AGH/Shands, T.Glover at Shands/UF, L.Pittman/C.Bergstraesserr at the Surgery Center.

2) T.Macheski and L.Sigsby attended Fl Student Nurse meeting.

3) Florida Council Fall meeting- P.Stewart reported 37 people attended horse show. Chapter made $610.

4) Fall golf tournament in Ocala - accounting not completed, profit should be more than $3000.00.

5) P.Stewart reported that contact hour certificates will be available from print shop by next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

1)Angela Kohllepp from Lake City will be filling vacancy on nominating committee

2)OR Nurse Week - Mock OR set up in conference room at Munroe; VA open house for 2 new rooms in OR

3) Delegates for Congress T.Macheski; S.Reitman-Swiss; L.Pittman; N.Hanauer; P.Stewart Alternates are E.Hoffman;W.Williams; L.Sigsby; E.Young; C.Bergstraesser Registration forms must be in by Dec 1. If other members would like to take advantage of reduced price, forms and checks must be in by Dec.1. Chapter will write one check for all. Board will pay for dinner tickets to Fl Council Meeting in New Orleans for all delegates and alternates.

4) By-Laws - See attached changes. Under Article VII, Section 3A - Motion made, second and carried for discussion of chapter participation before being nominated for an office. After discussion, motion made, second and carried to use same criteria as national which is before being nominated for President elect, Sec. or Treasurer the member must first have been on the board of directors.

5) P.Stewart presented the chapter with a manual containing media relations guide.

7) P.Stewart presented information about President's Award 2000.

8) National's Nominating Committee is looking for nominations for national offices

9) P.Stewart presented information about Memberline Newsletter.

10) P.Stewart presented a request from NPC for input on a tool to be developed for use by OR nurses for translation of common terms used in OR. Forward info to T.Macheski, who is on this committee.

11)December meeting will be our annual Christmas party. Party will be held Dec 17th at 7PM at the home of Susan Moore. Please contact officer for directions. Gift exchange of $10.00 , for those who would like to participate in Santa Swap.
