Meeting was called to order by Jim Shelley, at 6:35 PM, at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

PRESENT: Jim Shelley, Tom Macheski, Linda Sigsby, and Pat Stewart.

ABSENT: Wes Williams, Eileen Nogueiras, Nan Hanauer [advisor], and Marian Norris.

IN ATTENDANCE: Terry Glover.

QUORUM: Present.

DISCUSSION

1. Chapter policy on the " Reimbursement Funding for Activities other than AORN Congress" was discussed. Resolutions offered by Linda Sigsby were adopted as follows: "Resolved that the expectation of the chapter is that attendees would share lodging, where practical."

"Resolved that the attendee would fly coach, if using air transportation."

" Resolved that any upgrades for room or transportation would be at the attendees expense."

2. Contact hours for the meetings were discussed and Tom Macheski, Membership/Education Chair, will let Pat Stewart know how she can be of assistance to him.
3. Golf Tournament: Jim Shelley stated we couldn’t have funds for Congress unless we have a golf tournament, which is the chapter fundraiser. Jim requested that Nan Hanauer, chair of the golf tournament, mail the sponsor and team forms to the board members.

The Chair adjourned the meeting at 7:10PM.

PROGRAM: Tom Macheski reported on The World Conference for Surgical Patient Care from 7:10 PM to 8:30PM.

BUSINESS MEETING: was held at Shands at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida.

QUORUM: 7 members were present. A quorum was not present, and chapter business could not be conducted. A general discussion was held till 9:00PM.
