REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

Educational Offering: The Physician’s Role in Managing the Business in the OR presented by Dr. Dave Paulus and Gail Avigne.

Business Meeting:

Present: Nan Hanauer [Chair]. The secretary being absent, Ms. Patricia Stewart was appointed secretary pro tem. Tom Macheski [Membership Chair] passed sign in sheet to those present.

In Attendance: Aaron Courington

Quorum: Not present

Minutes: Quorum not present. Minutes on the chapter web site.

Reports:

1. Treasurer: checking-$4838.42, savings-$2700.78. Treasurer report will be filed.
2. Membership: 126 members-presented by Tom Macheski.
3. Legislative: cnn.com health section –presented by Nan Hanauer.
4. Bylaws/Policies: national has new membership bylaws and our chapter bylaws need to be updated-presented by Jim Shelley.
5. Publicity: Pat Stewart wrote Articles in the Munroe Regional Medical Center hospital newspaper about chapter 1016 members-presented by Pat Stewart.
6. Nominating Committee: 60 ballots were received from the membership. One ballot was discarded because it was postmarked after May 13, 2001-presented by Nan Hanauer.
7. Web site-results of election posted on chapter web site-presented by Terry Glover. List of chapter officers and committee chairs attached to the minutes.

Unfinished business:

1. Tom Macheski reported the chapter golf tournament for June was questionable.

New Business:

1. Installation dinner-to be held June 14, 2001 in Ocala –presented by Nan Hanauer.

The Chair adjourned the meeting at 9:00 PM

The next monthly meeting will be held in September 2001.
