Our connection to the WHITTLE line was Frances WHITTLE, born 05 May 1809
in Edgefield County, South Carolina. Frances married Simeon CROUCH, born
13 January 1806, on 27 December 1827 in Edgefield County. We don't have
much documentation on this line, but we believe her father was Willis WHITTLE
born 05 August 1788. All we have for her mother is the name Elizabeth.
The father of Willis was James WHITTLE, Sr born about 1760 and his mother
was Lucretia. For the next generation back all we have is the name James
Burrows WHITTLE.
