WANTED
MARTHA
WILLIAMS
Webster
County, Kentucky
Martha
WILLIAMS married Albert G. POWELL 30 October 1868 in Webster County, Kentucky.
Marriage bond for Albert and Martha lists John WILSON as bondsman.
A note with the bond was written by Matilda ? WILLIAMS HAYES CARTER giving
permission for her daughter, Martha WILLIAMS to marry Albert. The
note was witnessed by John WILSON and Henderson POWELL. Albert and
Martha are in the 1870 Webster County census, listed with one child, a
daughter named Palina.
Albert dies before 1877 when Martha marries William LYNCH. Martha and William
LYNCH are found in the 1880 Webster County census. They are listed with
three POWELL stepchildren, Malia (probably Palina), William H. and Las,
and one LYNCH child Sarah. The marraige bond for Plina J. POWELL and Samuel
HUBBARD lists her mother, Martha's, birthplace as Illinois, while census
information indictes that Martha was born in Kentucky.
