Our Albert G. Powell has been documented as being the son of Henderson Powell b. abt 1795 s/o Willoughby Powell b. abt 1754.

            Albert G. POWELL married Martha WILLIAMS 30 October 1868 in Webster County, Kentucky.  Marriage bond for Albert and Martha lists John WILSON as bondsman.  A note with the bond was written by Matilda CARTER giving permission for her daughter, Martha WILLIAMS to marry Albert.  The note was witnessed by John WILSON and Henderson POWELL.  Albert and Martha are in the 1870 Webster County census, listed with one child, a daughter named Palina.
            Albert dies before 1877 when Martha marries William LYNCH.  Martha and William LYNCH are found in the 1880 Webster County census.  They are listed with three POWELL stepchildren, Malia (probably Palina), William H. and Las, and one LYNCH child Sarah.  Las (Lazarus) POWELL was my great grandfather. His death certificate lists his father as Albert POWELL and his mother as Martha.
