Gator Clan taught a lesson in humility

Yes, we talk a lot of shit. We usually back it up.

We didn't when we played University of Western Ohio [UWO] last Monday. Gator Clan was completely routed and accepted our first loss of the year. After another painful and buggy start (dedicated server patches eat fat nuts) Gator Clan's inferiority was revealed to them in a 100 frag loss. The second match, though equally as buggy, ended with Gator Clan trailing 50 frags behind. This has become somewhat of a rallying point here, and we have confidence that a fiasco of this magnitude will not happen again.

Gator Clan defeats Coffin Hunters

After many server configuration problems, Gator Clan defeated the Coffin Hunters by scores of 173-75 in a 20-minute 5-on-5 match, and 166-39 in a 20-minute 4-on-4 match. More info to come after the webmaster gets a good night's sleep.

New Web Page...Again!

Since the original web page simply did not meet the outrageously high standards of Gator Clan, a slightly modified and more colorful version has arisen to take its place. Be sure to check GatorFinger for regular updates from your favorite Gator Clan personalities!

Netscape Support, New Members Added

After kinda scratching our heads at why our pages wouldn't load under Netscape we sat around and fixed the damn HTML... still no real idea why the error occured in the first place, but at least it works now.

We've added some new members to the Members Page. We've also had to change the layout somewhat in order to accomodate our new ordering system. Charter Members (members that were at least partly responsible for the inception of Gator Clan and/or longtime Quake Players) are shown on the first page. Newer members are listed in successive pages.

New Web Page!

Welcome to Gator Clan's first attempt at a website. We're in the process of recruiting capable Quake Classic and Quake II players from the Tolbert Area, so keep watching the members page for new members.

As for tournaments and play schedule is concerned, we have not registered for anything just yet, but we'll keep you guys posted. Usually we like to "swamp" the server cltonline.com. There will usually be at least one person on at most hours of the evening.

Brian Hook's speech yesterday was (in the words of one Dark Jedi) mostimpressive. Many thanks to him for coming and speaking to us.

Players Wanted!

We're looking for a few good men (and women) to play (and hopefully join) us in Quake I/II. If you have a strong self-esteem and won't be devastated when we paste you to the walls, then you should consider joining us. We're good, we poke fun at ourselves and each other, and we need more people. If you live in either East, Weaver, or South Halls, have DHNet installed, and are interested in joining, please email MDF.
