I'm very interested in space flight. I don't think that I'll pursue a career in it, but it is fun to think about.
I follow the International Space Station (ISS) closely. Here are some links to help you learn about the station and some fun links about it as well.
- The home page of NASA is always a good place to start. The benefit of going here is that you can see a lot more than just the space station information. You can find things like NASA's involovement in educating young people. Somehow, you can get to satelite images taken by some of the myriad satelites up there. You can also access the database of photographs and zoom into a very small area. As scary as it is, it is also very interesting. I've yet to do it, but I've some of the images attained that way, and they are amazingly clear. I'm not sure if the images are real time, or taken previously.
- This link will take you directly to the Space Station Page. From here, there is information about the station's progress, the next component being launched, and an active counter of how long the Station has been active. From this page, you can click once and find out how to locate the station with a simple telescope. I'll have to try that sometime.
