Woohoo!!!! I almost soloed. I got really close today!

(I hope you caught the subtle sarcasm there.)

So we spent a little less than an hour in the air, and did several touch-and-goes. They were all pretty much quality landings. Paul only had to control the plane once and it wasn't too much. We did a full stop on the 4th or 5th one and he was about to let me go on my own, but we didn't have my logbook in the plane. As it is a necessity for me to have my logbook with me to solo, we had to deplane and retrieve it from the building. This process taking a good 10 minutes allowed the storm to roll in and blunder it.

As disappointed as I may seem and sound, it turned out ok, because VERY shortly after the afore mentioned events took place, the winds picked up considerably and the rain began to fall.

The traditional first solo is to make three full-stop landings. Had I started them without having to deplane and whatnot, I may have completed one or one and a half before all that nonsense came. So, Paul made a good call by having me wait.

I'm going back tomorrow morning at 8am to do this!
