 THE THEATRE

Recently acknowledged as one of the best children's theatres in the country, All Children's Theatre (ACT) is dedicated to developing lifeskills in children through the performing arts. Designed to meet the needs of all children, ACT programs include: The Main Company, The Not Ready for Bedtime Players, and summer drama programs (Creative Stages and Performing Arts Camp).

ACT cast members have sung and acted in locally and nationally produced educational films, radio and T.V. commercials, and in movies such as Parenthood and Doc Hollywood. The professionalism and discipline demanded by ACT's advanced programs provide a solid foundation for further acting experience. Above all, ACT actors learn to respect and cultivate their own gifts, even as they support and nourish each other. This atmosphere, filled with cooperation, dedication and just plain old fun, leads to the creation of truly spectacular works of art.

Honored by the City of Gainesville, Alachua County, and TV 20 for our positive impact on the youth of North Central Florida, All Children's Theatre and our staff of theatre professionals proudly invite you to experience our tradition of excellence.

  • "The quality of these performances is unequaled by anything I have ever seen in my 20 years of education."
    Sue Shackow, Co-Director, Brentwood School

  • "I will be bringing my college-age actors into projects with All Children's Theatre. Knowing the quality of ACT's work, this will be, easily a meeting of equals."
    Sid Homan, Professor of Theatre,
    University of Florida

  • "By the end of the season ACT members form a loving, funny, creative group who know they are working together to make something good. How many of us can say that of the way our children spend their time?" Mary Twitchell, Professor of Law, University of Florida
