Narrated by the family dog, "The Invisible People" is a magical musical about the imaginary and spiritual life of children. Some people think Katie needs to grow up and give up the things of childhood.- namely her blankie. But Katie has other ideas, and so do her invisible friends. We spend the eveneing with Katie as she dances with magical leopard-spotted shoes, appears as a contestant on "You Bet Your Adolesence" (the show where EVERYBODY is a loser), and faces her greatest fear - the dreaded Boogiemen. Sequenced score includes, classic Broadway style numbers, along with jazz, marches, lullabies, ballads and a show stopping tune that includes magic tricks. In the words of Duncan, that great scholar, narrator and family dog, "This is a true story...if you believe in magic."
