AFN Technical Committee Projects

Here are some projects that that Technical Committee needs to work on. This is kind of a "TODO" list and reflects the priorities of the Chairman.

1. Reorganize system services.
   • old proposal
2. Synchronize time with NTP, all machines.
3. Upgrade OSs: AIX to 4.x, new Linux/FreeBSD, Annexen(?).
4. Delegate specific services/systems to committee members.
5. Create system documentation for technical volunteers.
6. Create system documentation for general users.
   • One-stop help documentation (email/WWW/FTP/print)
   • Single email address (receptionist model)?
   • FAQs
   • Printable guide (single source for HTML)
7. Update Winsock Freenet for Windows 95/NT use.
8. Define and implement account policy.
