``How did it get so late so soon?
  It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?''

It is with a heavy heart that I am here to tell you that Cyber-Seuss is no longer a functioning website. This page was originally created back in 1994 believe it or not, when the web was little more than a bunch of text. Then there were absolutely no Dr. Seuss websites and I saw this as a terrible thing, and set out to change that.

As graphics began to enter the web so Cyber-Seuss embraced them and began adding some. The surge of web users came and Cyber-Seuss became quite a popular website indeed. Gaining noteriety for itself by appearing in just about every magazine dedicated to websites (back in the 'olden days of the mid/late 90's there were magazines that did nothing but list and reivew websites) as well as other publications still around today like; The New York Times, The Chicago Times News, The Smithsonian, Time, Newsweek and others. The page also was featured on a Discovery channel program called 'Cyber-Life' which is no longer on the air.

Then the summer of 1998 rolled around and the server I was using to host Cyber-Seuss was hacked and suffered much loss. As a result about half of the material I had online was lost forever. Yes I was at fault in not having made back-ups of my files more frequently. I took this devastating blow very hard and this ultimately was the end of the site. I made a few adjustments to make all the links work again and kept Cyber-Seuss online in it's crippled form for a few more years.

A few months back I got the urge to try and pick the site back up. However truth be told my new endeavors lend precious little time to spend on this page. As of now there are many other Dr. Seuss sites out there that are indeed better than this one. My page never contained any Dr. Seuss parodies and was always meant to be a shrine to the Man and his works. It never had advertisments and never was a means for me to make money. Indeed this is why Audrey Giesel and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Inc., granted me the license to use copyrighted images on this page. However, I no longer feel this page does justice to this cause and therefore I can't continue to keep it online.

I thank everyone who has ever visited, e-mailed, or helped me with this page. It's been many years of fun working with and helping you guys. I thank Audrey Geisel and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Inc. for granting me the license to display Dr. Seuss images legally. I thank all the publications and other website who have linked here and supported this page and allowed me over the years to have over a million visits...and I thank you for taking the time to read all this.

I would like to leave you with one small thing that everyone seemed to love. A wav file of Ted "Dr. Seuss" Geisel, just click his name below. Enjoy

``I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a
necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life
through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and
that enables you to laugh at life's realities.''
