DON'T LET WAL-MART DESTROY NORTHSIDE PARK!
May/June 2005

Wal-Mart wants to build a Supercenter on the land that is currently Northside Park on NW 34th Street. Building a Supercenter there would destroy the park, create massive traffic problems, and jeopardize local water quality.

Our park provides numerous recreational opportunities to area residents including Frisbee golf, tennis, racquetball, picnicking, and walking. This city park also provides wildlife habitat and is part of the Hogtown Creek's headwaters.

If you're interested in preventing this Supercenter and want to let Wal-Mart know that it is only welcome in areas that will benefit our community rather than degrade it, or if you're just curious.

Please attend our meeting!

WHEN: Sunday, May 22nd from 3-5pm
WHERE: At the facilities of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville - 4225 N.W. 34th Street
