• Study and recommend areas of public policy
  
• Perform research and development for area-wide aging programs
  
• Collect and provide information affecting the aging network
  
• Conduct special and on-going aging programs
  
• Conduct training and make referrals of caregivers to the elderly and their families
  
• Conduct seminars and workshops to enhance management and service delivery capabilities of agencies and organizations serving older persons
  
• Carry out such other activities as are consistent with the charitable, educational, and scientific purposes of DARE in ways that benefit older persons
