Everyone is an artist at South Pointe!  Students take pride in their art room, which is a haven for creativity and fun.  The art curriculum compliments themes and topics studied in the classroom.  Students build their self-esteem by creating with a variety of art media.  They also learn to appreciate the value of the arts in our society and lives by learning about art history, visiting art museums and galleries as well as working with guests.

The music program at South Pointe will offer students ample opportunities to shine. The curriculum calls for an integration of music literacy and performance.  The classroom experience will involve singing, movement, instrument playing, as well as special small group experiences for interested students.  The primary goal at South Pointe is to instill a love of music in every child which they will take with them wherever they go.

Technology skills are emphasized and encouraged throughout the school.  Teachers, students and parents are involved with hands-on computer experiences in classrooms, lab situations and after school programs.

Our Pre-Kindergarten program is developmentally appropriate for young children.  Opportunities are provided for active, concrete experiences where children acquire skills, interact with other children and develop strong levels of self-esteem.
